Dr. Yessenia Ingersoll, PhD, DMD, is a U.S. NAVY spouse and general dentist based in San Diego, CA with a focus in Dental Trauma and Sports Dentistry. She is dedicated to protecting  athletes through customized care and precision-fitted mouthguard. She serves as a USSF healthcare provider, supporting athletes on and off the field with performance-focused dental protection and injury prevention, and is also certified in sports dentistry by the Academy for Sports Dentistry (ASD).

She earned her PhD in Oral Sciences and a certificate in Orthodontics from Niigata University Graduate School of Dental Sciences in Niigata City, Japan, and her DMD from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry.

She  is actively involved in various sports communities. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys exploring the city with her family and participating in long-distance races. As a sports mom, she understands firsthand the importance of oral health and dental trauma prevention for athletes of all ages.
